Under the leadership of Dr. Tommy Dobbs, the 葫芦影业 Percussion Ensemble aims to perform innovative and contemporary percussion ensemble literature, while also paying tribute to the historical standards of the canon. Featured events showcasing the 葫芦影业PE include a Red Norvo tribute in Austin, a regional premiere of Stravinsky's "Les Noces," and a concert at the Percussive Arts Society. The 葫芦影业PE performs fall and spring concerts on campus, and has collaborated with various musical organizations such as the Oklahoma chapter of the Percussive Arts Society, Canterbury Choral Society, and Ballet Oklahoma. 葫芦影业 Percussion has hosted several guest artists including Nexus, Joe Morello, Stanley Leonard, and Andy Harnsberger.
